BUSY BEES

Busy Bees
The Busy Bees aims are to provide a friendly group of people who wish to preserve and keep alive embroidery and needlework skills. Their objectives include being a self-help group sharing their own skills with each other. They like to identify other embroidery and needlework crafts and engage suitable tuition to share, replicate and enjoy those skills new to them.

There is a maximum capacity in terms of membership and that currently lies at ten. The group meet each Monday between 10am and 1pm. Current members reside in areas such as Ashington and Bishop Auckland so covers a wide spectrum geographically.

The group began in February 2005 and was formed when one of the members closed her shop and embroidery classes from Just Stitches in Burnopfield. The group have different projects to fulfill and are taught by one of the current members.
